Myrna Norman
My name is Myrna Norman and I’m from Maple Ridge B.C. But more importantly, I’m an Advocate for People diagnosed with dementia, their families, and communities. I have a purpose as I also have a diagnosis.
I have spoken to groups across Canada to ease and educate, to answer their questions, to offer a place to enjoy with those walking the same journey. Care Partners are encouraged to attend.
The UBC Building Capacity Project, University of Calgary Vascular Education, also Universities of Waterloo, Nippissing, Wilfred Laurier, as well as Canadian Consortium of Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA), Engagement of People with Lived Experience of Dementia (EPLED), Canadian Dementia Learning and Resource Network (CDLRN), the DEN and Rare Dementia Support (RDS), have welcomed me to be part of their Advisory Councils as well as other committees.
